Hua Hin

Paradise Everyday

When you consider retiring you often reflect on wonderful holiday experiences, exotic parts of the world, and may even speak with travel agents for brochures and details on interesting and exclusive holidays. You are searching for an attractive backdrop for the next stage of your life, a place to relax, a location with a different pace of life.

Thailand will be in those brochures, as will a multitude of Gold Medal and Environmental ‘Green’ Medal awards emblazoned on the pages, pictures of bespoke Spa resorts, and most definitely the multi award winning Royal beach resort of Hua Hin. Should you be eligible, our lawyers will arrange two tax-free living retirement visas in conjunction with your purchase.

Hua Hin came to prominence in the 1920’s when the Thai Royal Family discovered the quiet coastal fishing village and went on to build Klai Kangwon Palace in 1928, which remains an official Royal residence to this day. Nobility and wealthy individuals followed suit and an array of beachfront summer homes have been built since the 1920’s north and south of the main mile long sandy beach as the bay extends around the coast.

Today international luxury travel helps shape this gentle resort with spa complexes, World Class golf courses and watersports adding to the retained cultural flavor brought forward from the original 1920’s exclusive urbanization.

It is this exclusive but gentle ambiance combined with modern services and facilities that has also led Hua Hin to win many awards as one of the best places to retire, with an established expat community, good health care, safety, modern infrastructure, low cost of living and a carefully managed environment.

Hua Hin benefits from an attractive climate with lower rainfall than many other areas of Thailand. Daily temperatures vary from a minimum of around 21-25°C to a maximum of 29-34°C depending on the time of year. An ideal location to stroll on the beach; enjoy golf on one of the many world class courses; a meal in one of the numerous restaurants catering for virtually every taste and every budget; or just to catch up with family and friends among the expatriate community.

Your property in Hua Hin is also an investment. As a second home there is a growing rental income market to tap into; wealthy families in Bangkok are just two hours away for regular weekend use; tourists from as far away as Scandinavia regularly visit Hua Hin to escape harsh winters. Land prices here have grown exponentially; with a one Rai 1600m2 City plot in 2006 typically costing 1 million compared to over 4 million today, so in recent years buyers have built a good nest-egg.

People also purchase second homes in Hua Hin for use on vacations as well as for eventual retirement; property at prices being lower than the European, American and Australian equivalent; without property tax; even without water rates.
